Made for paper. Grounded in the sky.

A spherical orthographic projection preserves surface geometry. Phase views calculate lunar position, optical libration and subsolar direction locally for UTC dates from 1900–2200, using Meeus astronomical series. Complete cached JPL geometry is used when available. Illumination follows the surface normal and Sun direction, rather than a decorative shadow. Lunar north is up; observer parallax, physical libration and terrain shadows are not modelled by the local calculation.

Density and label size are independent. The studio reports the number actually placed when labels cannot fit. Preview and export share the same layout in physical millimetres. Raster detail is limited by source resolution even in a 300 DPI file. PDF preserves star geometry and text as vectors. Turning off the data caption also omits chosen Moon/star dates and locations from file metadata; solar source observations remain recorded.
